When it comes to tax controversy, tax disputes, civil and criminal tax matters and tax litigation, John has it covered. Practicing for more than 43 years, he has seen it all when it comes to tax compliance matters and he puts his decades of knowledge handling a wide variety of tax law cases and his extensive experience to work to benefit his clients.
John’s long history of professional accomplishments include leadership positions held with the Orange County Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. He is also the past Chairman of the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Central Florida Tax Roundtable, and past Chairman of the board of the Downtown Branch of the YMCA.
In addition, he has served as a United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps, Captain (JAG), as trial counsel for the Florida Department of Professional Regulation and as an adjunct instructor in Legal Writing at the University of Florida and in the Legal Studies Program at the University of Central Florida. He is a frequent speaker and author on a multitude of legal topics, is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and in 2010 through 2013 received the honor of being named a top civil tax litigation attorney by Orlando Life magazine. John is a graduate of the University of Florida, for both his B.A. and J.D.
