David Bigney has over 20 years of quality courtroom experience; primarily focused in criminal defense.
Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney, he was an Assistant State Attorney. Having worked on both sides of the courtroom, he has the experience to anticipate the prosecutor’s strategy; a beneficial skill he utilizes in defending cases.
As a prosecutor, Mr. Bigney handled all types of cases ranging from resisting an officer to first-degree murder.
As a criminal defense attorney, he has aggressively defended people accused/falsely accused of a wide variety of charges including but not limited to drug trafficking, capital sexual battery, internet crimes, murder, attempted murder, resisting arrest, domestic battery, and violations of probation.
Mr. Bigney is an active member of the Orange Bar Association and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also the union representative to the Fraternal Order of Police for the Orlando Police Department.
He is regularly a guest speaker at local high schools and local organizations where he lectures about the criminal justice system and illegal search and seizure.
Mr. Bigney is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts and the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida
